Goal for the Day: Do Something Silly

We spend most of our days trying to make a good impression on the people around us. We all pick a public persona for ourselves—whether that persona matches our actual thoughts and feelings is a different story. However, when you’re home and amongst the people that you love, you can let your imagination out to play. Sometimes we just need to do something silly. There’s no harm in it—in fact, it’s rather freeing and healthy. All of us need a chance to play, no matter how dignified we fancy that we are.

So, today, when all of your obligations have been fulfilled, give yourself a chance to do something silly, something totally frivolous. Draw faces on your boiled eggs. Sing into your hairbrush. Roll around on the floor and play with your dog. Do something to make yourself laugh. Even the most elegant of us has a silly side. Why not let it out?
