Person of the Week: Robert Verdi

We know him best as the out-spoken celebrity stylist sporting his trademark sunglassesatop his head. However, Robert Verdi, isn’t just a “red carpet” commentator. Robert Verdi began his career designing and crafting his own line of jewelry which garnered him considerable positive attention. The line was sold at a variety of upmarket New York department stores. Verdi’s fascination with all things beautiful led him to a career in television and fashion reporting.

Soon Verdi was making a name for himself as a style expert, and, not just in fashion. In 1998, an article in the New York Times stated:

In the style universe, where fashion, decorating and the media are usually on different planets, Mr. Verdi travels comfortably between them. He is a jack-of-all-trades in a world where good taste and an instinct for the Now can be a passport across boundaries.
Aside from his numerous television appearances and hosting several programs of his own, Verdi has also designed the homes of a host of A-list celebrities and serves as the personal stylist for many more. Verdi strives to create a positive environment with his work. His goal is to make people feel good in their surroundings and, most importantly, in their own skin, as he lends his talents to fashion, interior design and healthy living.

Make sure to catch Mr. Verdi in the upcoming season premier of TV Land’s She’s Got the Look on August 25, 2010. This reality show devoted to giving women over thirty-five a chance to realize their dreams of becoming models, provides Mr. Verdi with a perfect platform for his continued up-lifting work.
