Once, again, Mr. Punch, with my help, is offering up a true Victorian riddle. The first person to answer correctly--by posting in the comments--will receive public congratulations.
So, here's this week's riddle. We ask that you don't Google the answer. Mr. Punch would not find that sporting at all. Give it a shot and see what you can come up with. Here we go... No cheating...

What is the principal part of a horse?
And, the answer is...
The MANE part (main part).
Wonderful. I rather enjoyed today's crop of answers, but I think the real stand-outs were Darcy, Dashwood and Shawn. Well done, All! Come back next week for another of Mr. Punch's Puzzles!

Same as the principal part of me.
I'm not going to say a word.
My high school principal was part of a horse.
So was mine.
My mother in law.
My cousin Angela.
I would have thought that you'd get along.
My first agent.
Not surprising.
Gene's mother in law. That never gets old.
Never.
The mouth?
Only when a gift.
Glue.
Awww.
I asked Bo Peep, and she said its the part you would leave in the bed of someone you wanted to understand that you mean business .
Makes sense to mr.
Me, I mean.
The sense.
Ah, horse sense.
The principal part of a horse is, when in a play about horses (that is, horseplay), is to convince the audience that he is a horse. Most horses know this. Many human actors do not.
Sadly true, not since Marie Dressler.
The part of the horse that is holding the ruler to smack you across the knuckles...
A catholic horse?
