Pendant of Gold 5th-3rd Centuries, B.C. The Victoria & Albert Museum |
An ancient work of gold, this pendant was made in the Tuscany/Umbria region of Italy between the Fifth and Third Centuries B.C. It’s quite a handsome piece, isn’t it? Adorned with a mask of a bearded man, it’s a safe conclusion that the pendant was made in honor of a now unknown deity.
