Coming this Week at "Stalking the Belle Époque"

As we near springtime, we turn our sights to warm, bright thoughts. A visit to King George IV’s Royal Pavilion at Brighton will put us in mind of sunny days as we tour the opulent home of one of Britain’s most influential rulers. Along the way, we’ll take a look at some objects from George IV’s vast collection of art and artifacts as well as the paintings, jewels, sculpture and personal objects of his predecessors and successors.

We’ll take a glimpse at the work of an outstanding English portrait artist as well as one of the cinema’s brightest and most enduring stars. A look at the humanitarian work of an American artist will follow as we examine the difference he has made to New Orleans since the devastating hurricane damage.

Two classic films are in store as we study two vastly different films both of which deal with psychological subjects. And, let’s not forget Bertie. His time-traveling voyage through art history will be further chronicled in the coming week.

There’s a lot to look forward to in March as Stalking the Belle Époque continues into another season. I’m looking forward to sharing it all with you.
