We began with a delicious pork tenderloin in a sweet and savory sauce served with sour cream seasoned with mustard. This was joined by a side of fresh broccoli and...this is a doozy... spaghetti squash adorned with homemade pesto! Wonderful! I loved it! Bertie didn't get any pork because he's Jewish. Oy.
It really was a beautiful Autumn meal.
To keep the Autumn spirit alive, the meal concluded with the perfect apple crisp. With a crunchy topping of brown sugar and cinnamon, and a warm middle of tender apples and lovely, plump raisins, this apple crisp—served with a dollop of freshly whipped cream—was the ideal end to a lovely, cat-memory-erasing-meal.

Ya, I would love a bowl of those apples. Sweet!
The roast looks done to perfection. Great ideas with the squash and I love apple crisp!
Mmmm...looks very good. Reminds me of home right before Homecoming. I enjoy apple crisp. Save me some.
That would be just what I could use right now to warm me up. It's cold where I am today. Looks good.
Science must perfect particle transportation so I can get a taste of your mom's cooking. Other than mail or airplanes I mean. Like instantly!
Just fabulous!
Warm, delicious yumsiness!!! Too bad Bertie can't have pork.
I like this kind of dinner. I think I would like the squash very much, but my wife would never try it. She has no soul, like her mother.
My love of squash and pig meat would be satisfied with this dinner and then my love of apples. Happy dance.
A sensible, delicious meal. Your mother is a genius in the kitchen. Think about the brilliance of replacing a starch with a squash and pesto. Oh, I love it! Again the dessert is a healthier choice. We need to see more tables like this. Bravisima!
I love crisp! That squash looks awesome! Great idea!
Oh, wow! It all looks grate!
Next time I make spaghetti squash I will try it with pesto. Thanks to your mom for the idea!
I have a spaghetti squash. I'll have to make pesto this week and try that.
