Object of the Day: A Trade Card for Libby's Canned Cooked Corned Beef

We’ve looked at three other Libby, McNeill and Libby Cooked Corned Beef trade cards from my collection of ephemera. And, here’s another one.

In this one, a pretty servant, Dinah, is pacifying the household’s children with slices of what I can only resume is gelatinous potted meat. The irregularly shaped slices of assorted pressed bits of corned beef seem to be a welcome treat for the youngsters who are quite animated in their reaction. The little boy, in fact, is so enamored of this meaty concoction that he has hidden one unusually stout slice behind his back while he reaches for another.

Curiously, while the three other bits of canned cooked corned beef propaganda in my arsenal of yellowing cards make a point of filling the reverse with very pro-potted-meat cant and pointedly expound the virtues of the product, this one is blank.
