Monday-morning depression is something that plagues many of us. It usually starts on Sunday night. After a weekend spent at home, by Sunday evening, you begin to worry about everything that’s facing you in the coming week. Worrying about it won’t really help, and, starting the week with a sense of dread is only going to make all of your tasks seem more daunting than they really are.
So, today, begin the week feeling confident. Know that you’re going to do the best that you can and that you’ll be able to handle whatever happens. No, you can’t control the thoughts and actions of the people around you. You can’t change unpleasant events and jobs ahead of time. However, you can tackle them calmly and without fear. By starting this week with a feeling of confidence and control, you’ll find that all of those worrisome things that you dreaded all weekend aren’t really so bad after all.
