Personally, I like to stay home on Halloween and watch old movies. We don’t get many trick-or-treaters in my neighborhood these days, so, I keep the lights off and spare Bertie the excitement of the doorbell ringing. Still, many of you live in neighborhoods with miniature ghouls and goblins a-plenty or you have children yourself who will be out with pumpkin-shaped buckets in search of treats. Either way, Halloween is this week and the day can be a lot of fun.
Today would be the perfect day to plan for the event. Stock up on candy if you’re going to be handing it out (or even if you’re not), and plan your decorations and costume if you feel so inclined. Even if you’re a Halloween Hermit as I am, it’s still fun to have a jack-o-lantern or other reminders of Halloween around the home. Decorating a pumpkin is a rather relaxing time. Even if it’s just you who will see it, why not indulge in some old-fashioned fun?
