I’m partial to films made before 1969. I’m a sucker for Davis, Crawford, Swanson, Cotten, Fontaine, De Havilland, Leigh, Taylor and Clift. But, that’s just me.
Whether you’re a classic film nut or the first in line to see the latest releases, I’d like to hear about your favorite films. What picture could you watch over-and-over again? What movie means the most to you?

I love old movies too. "Now Voyager", "Mildred Pierce" and "Once Upon a Time" are my three favorites. Davis in "Now Voyager", and Crawford in "Mildred Pierce" both show their talent and range portraying two very different types of women. They both struggle to find their way in life and in a bittersweet way they both win.
"Once Upon a Time" is a Cary Grant film.It's about a boy, a caterpillar, and their interaction with Grant's charactor and is just charming. I've loved it since I was a child.
I love all those films, too, Darcy. I agree that they do, indeed, both win. I wish "Once Upon a Time" would air on television more. It's a difficult movie to find.
Darcy named some films I like a lot too. I'd also like to add, though, a 1948 film called Enchantment with David Niven, Theresa Wright, Evelyn Keyes and Farley Granger. It is a multi-generational story witnessed and told by an old Victorian home in post-war London. Also, Mourning Becomes Electra is a terrific film of O'Niell's New England version of the Greek Drama. The intense story and well directed tight control of Dudley Nichols allows for the minimalist set and fostered of the the few performances I ever liked from Rosalind Russell.
