Goal for the Day: Keep Your Pets Cool
With temperatures soaring to wicked heights, we all are trying to find ways to keep ourselves cool. But, let’s not forget our furry friends. Make sure that your pets have access to the air conditioning, too. Change your pets’ water frequently. One of Bertie’s favorite treats in the summer is a bowlful of chilled, bottled water. And, of course, never leave your pet in a hot car—even for a few minutes. Keep an eye on your four-legged companions. If they are panting a lot or seem sluggish, they could be suffering from the heat. Remember, our pets don’t have the same ways of regulating their body temperature that we humans do. Taking a little extra time to make sure that they’re cool, too, will ensure their ongoing health and comfort.
