Earrings Turquoise, Rubies, Pearls, Gold 1835-1840 The Victoria & Albert Museum |
Accessories in the form of natural elements such as feathers, flowers, leaves and birds were extremely popular in the early Victorian era—made all the more so when the Queen herself began to wear such designs.
This pair of earrings is housed in the Victoria & Albert Museum and were part of an impressive collection og gems bequeathed to the V&A by Lady Cory.
