With the cooler weather upon us, we should begin to protect our properties against the effects of cold weather. Take a few minutes to move delicate potted plants inside. If less hearty plants are rooted in the ground, have a supply of old blankets or towels available that you can use to cover their delicate leaves so that they’re protected from the frost. Empty fountains and water features to protect them from the damage of freezing. Similarly, foam covers can be purchased to protect exposed pipes and faucets from freezing. Taking a few simple steps before inclement weather hits can save you a lot of time and money in the future.
