Mr. Punch of Belgrave Square Will Continue on Monday

While our Mr. Punch is quite concerned that his newly-found half-sister Lennie has gotten herself into a situation she can't handle, Robert and Charles have tried to settle his nerves.  Still, Punch is right to be worried.  Lennie has made "Ellen" think that she's going to work with the woman.  Lennie even went so far as to keep Ellen's true identity secret in front of her father, Johnny Donnan.  Lennie tries to reassure her half-brother that she knows what she's doing and that she's not quite as fragile as she seems.  She even apologizes for freaking out when they first met, but Punch is still rattled.  He knows how wicked "Ellen" can be.

Meanwhile, Gamilla has had just about enough of Finlay.  She's taken it upon herself to see to it that Finlay is brought to justice.  To this end, she's convinced the footman that she's worked some kind of Voodoo magic on him that will make him suffer for his sins.  Charles finds out about Gamilla's scheme--even the bit where Gamilla tricks Finlay into thinking she's the ghost of Mrs. North.  Though Gamilla is concerned that Charles will judge her harshly, she realizes he wants a piece of the action.  Charles suggests that he play the part of Finlay's nonexistent conscience and the two return to the vault where Finlay is bound.

Finlay truly is terrified--so much so that he reaches a point where his heart can take no more.  He dissolves into a fit of spasms, and, finally, Gamilla confirms that he's dead.

Yikes!  That wasn't the plan.  Now what do they do?

Furthermore, will Mr. Punch's fears prove to be accurate?  Has Lennie taken on too much?  And what of the others?  They're still waiting for the Duke and the doctor.  But, their part in all of this mayhem isn't over yet.  Look for Ethel, Jenny and George Pepper to face some more challenges as Mrs. Pepper plays a part that she never dreamed of.

If you missed any chapters,  you can always catch up in the Chapter Archive.  Come back on Monday for the next installment of Mr. Punch of Belgrave Square.
