I always enjoy a good birthday party, but, you don't have to wait for a holiday or event to have a party. Every day is worth celebrating, so, make the most of it.

Not everyone looks alike. I'm a giant Westie. My cat is a great big cat. I like that I'm extra-large and I like Oscar for having legs like a kangaroo. If everyone looked alike, how boring would the world be? Instead of worrying that I don't look like all the other Westies, I walk tall and proud for being Bertie!

I know you wonder what Oscar and I are doing when we get up in the middle of the night and wander around the house. We wonder what you do when you tip-tap on that thing with all the letters on it and stare at the light-up rectangle. Every relationship needs a little mystery.
I'm fortunate to be able to spend all day everyday with Bertie and to have the opportunity to learn from his infinite wisdom. So, I thought that he should be given an opportunity to share his ideas for creating our new "Beautiful Age." Bertie's advice, I'm sure, can be applied to many different areas of our lives.

Bertie says:
If you see something that doesn't interest you, just walk away from it. There's no point in wasting your time sniffing out something boring.

There's always something new to smell, and something good to eat. So, I don't see any reason not to look forward to everything!

Even though I don't want to go, I know that it's important for me to get regular check-ups from my vet. Just like a person, I know staying healthy is important--even if it means I have to get shots.

Even though I can't tell time, I still have a schedule that I like to keep. Letting me keep it helps me feel safe and happy because it means I get to listen to what my body is telling me to do.
