Good morning everyone. Bertie and I hope that you had as much of a wonderful Easter and Passover as we did. Despite the superb weekend that we shared with my parents, I'm a little under the weather today, so Bertie, Mr. Punch and I are taking an additional day off. We will resume tomorrow with our usual schedule. But, don't fret, you won't miss a chapter of Mr. Punch of Belgrave Square and you certainly won't miss the Treat of the Week.
In fact, tomorrow, we'll be sharing a very special Easter Treat of the Week starting with our lovely marbleized Easter eggs and ending with the exceptional Lemon Safron Checkerboard cake that my mother made. We will include step-by-step photos and video showing how this incredible cake was made.
This week, we will also be showing you some very special Objects of the Day as well as some amazing museum pieces.
And, of course, Mr. Punch of Belgrave Square will continue. Now that the new governess, Ellen Barrett, knows the Duke's secret, will the information majestic her position easier or more difficult? Of the staff, only Charles, Gerard and Gamilla know that the Duke if Falkbrudge is actually two men in in one body. While Ellen's knowledge of the secret allows her more freedom with thise in the know, it sets her apart from the others, look for jealousy to cause some problems for the young governess. Rivalries will begin to develop downstairs while, upstairs, the Duke/Mr. Punch is concerned when he receives the inevitable invitation to Buckingham Palace. Robert will try to quiet his friend's nerves, but he shares Mr. Punch's worries. Meanwhile, Robert is keeping a secret of his own. Will this news cause problems in the household? Tomorrow, we will revisit No. 65 Belgrave Square to see what will happen.
