Here, we have another trade card dating to about 1890 for the J. & P. Coats Thread Co. The obverse features an image of a little girl hosting a tea party for two of her dolls, one a pierrot, the other, a fancy lady. Above them, a large spool of white thread hovers ominously.
On the reverse, a simple illustration advertises the thread with the copy, “J. & P. Coats. Best Six Chord Thread for Hand and Machine. White, Black and Colors.”
