Sunday Morning Special: 42nd Street, 1933

The 1933 Warner Brothers musical 42nd Street featured choreography by Busby Berkeley and marked the film debut of Ruby Keeler. This rousing picture chronicles the back-stage drama of a musical revue and introduced many of the most beloved songs of the 1930’s.

With a cast which includes Ginger Rogers, George Brent and Ned Sparks, 42nd Street is the archetypal 1930’s American film.
