Horrockses—a popular “ready to wear” label of the 1940s and 1950s—were especially famous for their full-skirted, fun summer dresses which were crafted from boldly-patterned, floral-printed (especially roses) cottons. Horrockses’ dresses were sold in department stores and boutiques across Britian.
