Coming this Week at "Stalking the Belle Époque" and Punch's Cousin

Well, gosh, there’s some interesting stuff coming in the next week. One of my favorite times of the week is the time I spend on Saturday when I go on a search for the objects and artifacts that I’ll be featuring here the next week. I think I’ve got a nifty collection of attractive (and some odd) things for you.

Of course, Punch’s Cousin will continue. Poor Julian. He’s still unconscious. While his body is spread out on the floor of their parlor, he and Mr. Punch are watching some particularly unpleasant memories unfold. How will Julian cope with seeing the events which changes his life forever? Will Mr. Punch be able to protect his “master”? You’ll see what happens next week.

Meanwhile, Robert and Marjani went to the Cage’s house to look after Mrs. Cage who had contracted Yellow Fever. They only went because Mr. Cage’s man, Odo, told them that the Duke’s nephew had been taken there. Marjani and Robert, after being dismissed by Mrs. Cage, learned that Odo had taken the baby out of the house. Furious, they confronted Mr. Cage who told them that they’d never get the baby.

At that very moment, Gamilla—who was left alone in the house to look after Julian—was startled by a knock on the door. Her worst fears were realized when she opened the door to an injured Iolanthe Evangeline who stormed into the house looking for Robert. Iolanthe spotted Julian and staggered over to him talking of putting him out of his misery. What will Gamilla do?

In the coming week, we’ll also catch up with Barbara Allen, Charles, Ulrika and Giovanni who are all still bound in front of the fire by Marie Laveau. They will find salvation in an unlikely ally who will become to focus of Marie’s rage. This interesting twist will keep you guessing.

Many thanks to all of you who have been reading Punch’s Cousin. I promise a lot of exciting chapters to come!
